Installation Instructions
Carefully unpack the light fixture and remove all of the packing material. Slide open the acrylic Splash Lens to remove any packing material used to secure the lamps during transportation. Once you have removed the packing materials, make sure the lamps are securely positioned in their sockets. Slide the acrylic Splash Lens back into place after you have finished.
Test the light fixture before installing it over your aquarium. Plug each end of the power cords into an outlet protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) Turn on each of the switches on the side of the fixture. Each switch should turn on two lamps. The fan will operate with one set of lamps. The wall transformer is for the Moon White Lunar Lights and is not switch controlled. Simply plug the wall transformer into a GFCI outlet to test the Moon Lights.
Once you have tested the lamps and ensured proper operation, you may now install the Docking Mounts provided (if applicable). Simply slide the acrylic Splash Lens out a few inches and then slide the Docking Mounts in the grooves on the aluminum housing. Use the supplied set of screws to secure the Docking Mounts in place.
If you are not using the Docking Mounts for your application, please apply the four Rubber Feet to the bottom of the light fixture. Place the Rubber Feet on each corners. The Rubber Feet will allow a gap for air between the light fixture and the glass top.
You may now place the light fixture above your aquarium and begin enjoying your new lights.
If you wish to automate the lighting cycles, use a rotary timer for each power cord, including the wall transformer for the Lunar Lights. Set the timers so the Actinic lamps turn on first followed by the Daylight lamps. Set the Actinic Lamp to turn on one hour before the Daylight lamps turn on and one hour after the Daylight lamps have turned off. The Daylight lamps should be on for 9-10 hours. Set the Lunar Light timer to turn on approximately one hour before the Actinic lamps turn off. This suggested lighting schedule should provide the optimum lighting cycle.
Regular Maintenance
Proper care your Nova Extreme Light Fixture will ensure years of excellent performance.
Do not attempt to do any maintenance while the light fixture is turned on. Unplug the fixture and remove from operation before performing maintenance.
Inspect the fixture's exterior and interior lamp area at least once a month for any visible signs of salt buildup. Remove any salt buildup with a clean damp cloth. If there are any signs of corrosion on the electrical components, including the power cords, the fixture must be removed from service and repaired or replaced before operating again.
Inspect the fan and make sure that it freely spins. If dust has accumulated on the blades, use a clean damp cloth to remove the dust.
Once you have completed the maintenance and verified there is no damage or malfunctioning parts, you may place the fixture back in service.

Awesome light for the price. Makes everything so much better to look at, not to mention the excellent quality. Customer Service replaced all broken bulbs with next day air at no expense to me.
Once again, amazing customer service. A bulb arrived broken, but the phone support person generously offered a replacement bulb. As for the product, the lights are very bright and clearly of great quality. The package includes both actinic and daylight bulbs (also the built in lunar lights and even docking mounts), making it a great deal.
I am very pleased with my purchase. This is a complete lighting solution that is well-built, looks good, and has an affordable price. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
If you are tired of looking from website to website trying to find lights to work for your corals without all of the extra money you're looking at the right product. This fixture not only lights up your tank with beautiful colors it also doesn't hurt those sensitive corals. This energy efficient light also comes with the bulbs and a fan!
Well made, the fan is quiet, and so bright we dont turn on the lamps in the Livingroom anymore. You'll not find a nicer light for the $$, and as always shipping is cheap cheap cheap.
Couldn't be any happier with the Nova Extreme T-5 . Lights up my 90 gal brilliantly, my corals and fish never seemed beautifully colored. Should buy one for my freshwater tank.
Great lights. I previously had the Odyssea Jebo compact florescent setup but had to replace it after the fans stopped working and the wiring essentially melted. When shopping around I compared this to the Coralife lights that were about $100 more. In addition to being a brighter, cleaner light, the T-5 replacement bulbs are much cheaper and seem to last longer. For a relatively inexpensive fixture, this is very well built and sturdy, very quiet and great looking. I have this on a 55 gallon tank and it lights the whole thing up great. The Lunar lights are brighter than I expected and can see everything at night, a vast improvement over the blue LEDs on the Jebo.
Approximately a year ago, I purchased a Nova Extreme T-5 Fixture w/Lunar Lights. This lighting fixture is manufactured by Current, located in Vista, California.
I am a former United States Marine, and when something or someone performs as it should, it is no cause for notice.
However, it is what has happened in the past few days that has induced me to write this review.
During a recent move, one of the movers set the Nova light fixture on the floor- resting on its four plastic docking legs. Two of these legs immediately snapped. I contacted Current and inquired about purchasing two new plastic docking legs to replace these broken ones.
Today, two new sets (4 ) plastic docking legs arrived in the mail at no charge from Current.
Outstanding to find a manufacturer who stands behind the quality of their product.
The lighting fixture on my new salt-water tank will also be from Current. Excellent product from a company with outstanding customer support and service.
