1. Never connect the Coralife Super Skimmer to any power source while hands are wet.
2. Always unplug the unit from outlet or power source before installing, replacing parts or performing product maintenance.
3. Never allow pump to run dry. Always keep pump submerged during operation. Failure to keep pump submerged while in use may damage the unit and/or cause unit failure.
4. Always leave a drip loop in the pump cord to prevent water from running down the length of the cord and reaching the power source or outlet.
5. For added safety, the pump should be plugged into a grounded three-prong receptacle controlled by GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) circuit breaker.
6. Make sure that the Super Skimmer is securely installed before operating.

Pre-Installation Setup:
NOTE: Prepare at least 5 gallons of "make-up water" to replace water used by the Super Skimmer.

Hang-on Tank Mount Placement:

1. Allow a minimum 6" clearance between the aquarium and the wall. NOTE: Hang-on tank mounting bracket for up to 1.375" tank mouldings.
2. Ensure that there is adequate unobstructed space for the needle-wheel pump inside the aquarium (9"L x 4"W x 5"H).

Sump Hook-up Placement:
Verify that there is adequate space for the super skimmer in/or outside of the sump (12"L x 10"W).
Allow a minimum 0.5" clearance between the stand and the top of the skimmer. Make sure there is enough space to remove/slide the collection cup out of the sump.

Assembly Setup:

Needle-Wheel Pump Assembly
Safety: Always disconnect needle-wheel pump from power supply before installing the Super Skimmer.

1. Set debris strainer into venturi chamber.
2. Connect the air-inlet silencer tubing to venturi air-valve.
3. Connect venturi chamber to pump intake on needle-wheel pump.

Main Chamber Assembly:

1. Attach the collection cup lid to collection cup.
2. Attach collection cup drain plug or 1/4" ID collection cup tubing (clear) for optional drain line.
3. Place collection cup on main chamber. Align collection cup threaded ring with the top opening on main chamber. NOTE: Make sure that O-Ring is in place before attaching the collection cup
4. Twist collection cup threaded ring clockwise and tighten. Make sure that the connection is secure between both the collection cup and the main chamber.
5. Attach and tighten output tubing into water output.
6. Attach 0.625" ID flexible tubing into pump output.
7. Cut flexible tubing needed for desired application. Attach flexible tubing onto chamber intake. Make sure that all tubing connections are tightly secured.

Coralife Super Skimmers are by far the best skimmer for the money. I would recommend a CSS over a remora, bakpak, or prizm any day. The needle wheel is very efficient in waste export. I have the CSS 125 for my 60 gallon tank. It is installed in my sump for about a year now and runs 24/7. I have a heavily stocked reef tank filled with messy fish. Still pulls out really dark gunk from the water. If you have the cabinet space and run a sump go with the 125 or even the 220. It will blow waste out of the water. This skimmer needs precision on initial setup.

I purchased the Coralife Super Skimmer for 65 gallon tanks. There were several nanos started at the same time last year and 2 (mine and my office mates) of them use the Coralife Super Skimmer. The Coralife skimmer keeps these two tanks very clear and algae free. I would recommend the Coralife to anyone setting a new salt/reef tank.

I purchased the Coralife Super Skimmer for 65 gallon tanks and use it on my 40 gallon FOWLR tank, it replaces my Seaclone skimmer. It's amazing how big this is in comparison. It took a few days to acclimate to the tank, but after that, my water is cleaner than I've ever seen it, even after the cloudiness created by replacing my crushed coral substrate with sand. You won't regret this purchase!

I purchased a "SUPER SKIMMER 125 GALLON " version for my 75 gallon FOWLR tank. I have it mounted on the tank, its been a month now and the tank is still consistently filled with microbubbles from the overflow box.

This skimmer is awesome. It is my first skimmer. It is really easy to setup. I cannot believe how much gunk it has gotten out of my water. It has made my water super clear. I bought the 220 version for my 65 gallon tank. It is great and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is the first skimmer I've had. It is installed in-tank. It takes a while to settle down and adjust the microbubbles (don't give up; I recommend the coralife website for helpful tips). For skimming I think it works great! I would buy another.

WOW does this ever skim... I bought a 220 rated unit to use on my 29 gallon frag tank and the skimate is almost black... I have a Turboflator multi 1000 on my 125 gallon and the skimate is just green... I will be purchasing another in the future to replace the Turboflator....

I have heard from several different reef sites that this is not a good skimmer, but don`t believe everything that you hear. This skimmer has worked beautifully pulling dark gunk out every day. Easy to tune, and break in is about 48 hours. Then no more micro bubbles. People just don`t know how to tune, but this skimmer is worth every penny regardless of what others say.

Purchased for my 29 gl reef tank and within 12 hours it was pulling out green gunk, tank has never been so clear. The only thing I don't like is the pump and overflow box are an eye sore and take up a lot of room in a small tank, but it is well constructed and works great!

WOW!!! Bought one for my 75 reef tank as a hang on. Took a few days to adjust it to the right setting, but now it is awesome. My tank is so much clearer, and my fish and coral are doing much better. Would recommend.

These truly are a great skimmer period. The price is really affordable. The performance is top notch. These are great entry level skimmers and fairly easy to adjust. Be patient on the "break" in period. Amost all skimmers produce micro bubble when the water is heavily laden with proteins and doc's.

I used mine in the sump and tossed a fillter sock over the output to catch any bubbles and eventualy put carbon in the sock to get extra filltration. For savay hobbyists it can be slightly modified to improve control over the skimmate produced and increase performance. I would recommend these skimmers all day to friends and fellow hobbyists.

My 30 gal reef tank is very, very heavily stocked with fish and all sorts of varieties of corals and my in sump 65 gal CSS helps keep my water quality amazingly clean. My orp is so good, my ozone gen hardly turns on. Definitely better in sump than used as a hang on but nice to have that option.

I'm from NJ and I brought the 220 protein skimmer for a 120 gallon filled with live corals such as clams sps and more. Between the Figi Live Rock from DRS. F & S and this protein skimmer the job gets done. It has been 2 years and still skimming. For the price, my saltwater reef tank is healthy and thriving.
