Free of nitrate, phosphate, and other unwanted chemicals
*
Made from pure, pharmaceutical grade salts
Each grain contains the exact mix of 70 trace elements found in natural saltwater. Unique production process ensures these elements are maintained in solution to provide the natural biosphere necessary to grow and breed delicate marine fish, plants, and invertebrates. Pro-Reef Salt is specifically formulated with optimized calcium and magnesium levels to promote optimal coral health and growth. Its unique buffering system and pH level have been adapted to accommodate the use of calcium supplements or calcium reactors to help simplify the care of even very sensitive hard corals.

Marine life can only flourish in a healthy environment. For over 30 years, Tropic Marin Sea Salt has been the only sea salt in the world produced under scientific supervision.
Directions for Use:
Use saltwater prepared with Tropic Marin Sea Salt for regular water changes in your saltwater aquarium, to start a new aquarium and to re-equilibrate the pH of a tank. Add the required amount of Tropic Marin Sea Salt to water in a clean container while circulating and aerating. The resulting saltwater is ready for use as soon as the salt is completely dissolved. At a temperature of 73-77°F (23-25°C), the specific gravity of the saltwater should range from 1.022 to 1.025.
A weekly, partial water change, replacing 10% of the total water volume with saltwater prepared with Tropic Marin Sea Salt, will help to maintain the water quality that your livestock needs for good health.

I love Tropic Marin, my corals and fish do excellent with it. I hear people complain about the price, but it's usually within 5¢ per gallon of most other salt mixes, so it's not as bad as most make it out to be.
As the saying goes...you get what you pay for. There is a noticable difference with this salt from the way it mixes fast and clear to the way it performs in the tank. I was using another Reef Salt before this one which was good, but not as good as this product.
We have been using Tropic Marin for about 6 months now and have seen a major improvement in our reef. The corals are stronger and healthier and we have dramatically reduced the use of supplements. This is a wonderful product.
Great salt! Prior to using Tropic Marin, I had trouble maintaining pH levels and had to use supplements. Upon the recommendation of my aquarium maintenance company, I switched to this salt and I am able to maintain proper levels without supplements.
Create the perfect saltwater mixing container to have available for emergency water replacements as well as your regular water changes. We explain how.
Specific gravity measures the relative salinity (amount of dissolved salts) in your aquarium water in comparison to pure water. Measuring specific gravity on a regular basis is crucial to maintain the ideal environment for your marine inhabitants.
