"No Bypass" is not a marketing hype. It's for real. I've been waiting on Marineland to get serious with their canister filters and the C-Series are exactly that. Very effective, serious filtration at a reasonable price. I own Fluval, Cascade, and the older Marineland Magnum filters, the C-Series has easily become my favorite.
I was having issues with ammonia levels and decided to switch from a power filter to canister. Looking over the different ones , I liked the sleek, clean look and ease of use(changing media with the trays) that the Marineland's new C360 canister filter offered. I was a bit hesitant about buying one as it was new and had no track record. I took the gamble and bought it, the greatest thing I did. It works great, it is extremely quiet, it is easy to use and change/load filter media, and my water is crystal clear and my ammonia levels went to zero(something I was having trouble keeping with the power filter). I would highly recommend this filter and it has a nice price point for the quality and efficiency that you receive from this filter line.
I bought this filter for my aquatic turtle tank, and it is amazing. So easy to use. I set it up before cleaning the tank to let it absorb some of the biologicals, and overnight it completely cleaned my tank for me!! I love, love, love this filter.
I received my C-360 today and had it up and running in minutes. The priming pump worked perfectly and the filter is quieter than a mouse. I had trouble with canisters in the past with priming, air bubble noise, cleaning etc. This filter is easy, quick and simple to use, perfect for beginner or expert. Double thumbs up Marineland!
I ordered my C-220, from Drs. Foster and Smith about six months ago and all I can is "WOW." This filter really impressed me, it is truly a work horse. Assembly instructions were easy which made installation easier than what it already was. With four media baskets and a super quiet motor, I have to give two thumbs, thanks Drs. Foster and Smith!
I have a C-360 and it started leaking. I contacted the company and they are hard at work to prevent this problem. It is NOT the Motor Head seal. It is the Valve Block. To prevent it from leaking, do not allow excess weight or binding of the hoses on the Valve Block. This is a Great Product... I will not replace it!
I bought a C-360 for my 55gal reef aquarium. This canister is easy to set up and maintain. Within an hour you will see clear water. Truly one of the best!
I highly recommend this product!! Very good filter and quiet. Love it!
I have the C-220 on 46 gallon saltwater tank and the water is clear! Clear! And the levels are where they should be.
Best filter I ever purchased. You name it, I had it. Spent thousands on other filters but nothing comes close to what this one can do. I recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable filter system.
Just got this for my 55 gal African cichlid tank!Needed something more powerful for the load of my tank. This filter is extremely easy to setup and is running perfectly. No leaks whatsoever. The media they give you is decent media and the price is perfect. Great product from Marineland!
I now have bought two of these filters - the 160 and the 220. They are really excellent filters. Firstly, they are almost square for maximum filtration capacity. Secondly, they are very well designed, high quality components and of very sturdy construction. Thirdly, the wide tubing with a great diffusor make water movement very easy to customize to your specific needs. Lastly, the easy priming and maintenance make it far easier/faster to service thann other filters. For price and performance they are the best.
I bought the C-360 canister filter after having one problem after another with hang on filters. My 55 gal. freshwater tank was always cloudy, murky and full of algae despite 50% water changes every week! I installed this canister and my water was clear within a few hours! I wish I would have found out about this canister filter a year ago!
These Marineland Canister filters are the very best quality and a snap to maintain. Don't listen to some who say they leak. I've had 3 of these and not one leaked a drop in the 3 years I've owned them. The key is to tighten the hose clamps with an adjustable wrench. You can't expect it not to leak if it's only hand tight (DUH). The self prime button is also very convenient and they are far superior to Eheim and Rena.
Quiet, convenient canister filters are inconspicuously located under your aquarium. All the canister filters we offer are customizable, and can hold a large amount of media (mechanical, chemical, and biological) in varying combinations.
Whether you're setting up a larger aquarium or simply want to upgrade your existing filter, the versatile and reliable nature of a canister filter makes it a great choice. Use the following chart to determine which canister filter is right for you.
A canister filter is a sealed container filled with various filter media. The principle advantage of canister filters over power filters is their roomy media baskets which can be filled with a variety of filter media to create custom filtration.
Don't take the quality of your tap water for granted. If you draw your water from a well, nature may not be providing you the perfect balance. If you are using tap water from your municipal department, it likely includes minerals and additives.
