These stands are great for housing multiple aquariums. I use one as display stand for two tanks, one as a display with sump under, and one with two quarantine tanks on it. They save space and look great!
I have the 75 gallon stand. When it first arrived, I was a little worried as it is pretty tall and felt lite when assembled. By the way, there's no nuts and bolts, everything just slips together. I was worried about it being top heavy. When my tank was placed on the top, I quickly realized I was worried about nothing. It is very sturdy and the tank doesn't move. I have added a quarantine tank and a smaller cold water tank on the bottom shelf I fashioned out of plywood. It places the tank about eye level.
This is a very sturdy metal stand. I have a 150lb dog that always bumps in to things because he is not aware of his size. So far he has not knocked it over. I bought the "65 gallon" as it was the correct mesurments for my 40 gallon tank. I use it for my bearded dragon so I do not have the weight of the water in it. Thank you DrsFoster and Smith for carrying this size of stand. I searched and could not find this size anywhere else online.
After searching many companys and shopping many stores I finally found a stand that is really sturdy and doesn't wobble. I purchased this for a 55 gallon tank. This stand is easy to put together, I made a great choice. If you haven't seen Doctors Foster and Smith's website, you should check it out!!
Aquarium stands are an integral part of the aquarium system. The canopy serves many purposes other than just covering the aquarium. It is designed to cut down on evaporation and keep aquatic life from escaping the aquarium.
Successful aquariums depend greatly on research and preparation. Before you install your new aquarium, consider aquarium placement and size to avoid laborious and costly mistakes.
When planning your next aquarium, consider staying "true to nature" by building and stocking a miniature ecosystem of common structure, inhabitants, and plants that exist together in the wild.
