Energy efficient internal electronic ballast for reliable performance
Satisfy high lighting requirements with the power of two compact fluorescent bulbs. Aqualight Double Strip Lights have twice the light output and features a stylish, yet durable, anodized aluminum housing, energy efficient internal electronic ballast, and silent built-in cooling fans for reliable and lasting performance. Highly polished reflector maximizes light output and distributes it evenly across your aquarium. Protective acrylic lens cover prevents water splashes from coming into direct contact with bulbs. Coralife Aqualights are the easy and affordable way to double the light output and control the number of compact fluorescent lighting fixtures.
Saltwater compact fluorescent strip lights include one True Actinic 03 blue and one 10,000°K bulb to provide proper lighting for saltwater aquariums. Freshwater compact fluorescent strip lights include two 6,700°K compact fluorescent lamps ideal for freshwater planted aquariums.
Strip lights are to be used over a
glass canopy. Adjustable mounting legs not recommended for use with a hood enclosure or for aquariums using a glass canopy.

Instructions:
Important Safety Note
Make sure to unplug all of the fixture's power cords before adjusting fixture position over aquarium or replacing any part on the fixture.
These fixtures are for use over covered aquariums only.
Do NOT allow fixture to come into direct contact with water.
It is recommended that the Aqualight Fixture be placed over your aquarium with the Aqualight Mounting Legs.
DO NOT remove the high-heat silicon retaining bands from lamp clips. These bands are designed to withstand high heat and hold lamps securely in place during operation.
Installation:
Place the Aqualight fixture on top of clear aquarium cover so that the lamps provide maximum exposure of beneficial light to all inhabitants and plants.
Replacing Compact Fluorescent Lamp:
Slide the acrylic lens cover off the fixture.
Carefully remove the high-heat silicon retaining bands from the lamp clips.
Unplug compact fluorescent lamp base from the fixture socket.
Hold both ends of the lamp and lift to remove the lamp from the lamp clips.
Carefully install replacement compact fluorescent lamps and replace light fixture parts in reverse order.

Great light...I don't like the switches; best if used with a timer.
I am a new comer to the reef aquarium hobby, and started out with the Coralife Aqualight. I was told by our local aquarium shop owner that the lighting was most important in the health and success of the reef aquarium. With the Coralife I have been able to have even the most difficult to keep corals and after six months, have not lost a single specimen. I think this is due, in part, to the Coralife lighting and the help of your articles, and the help of Marc, my wonderful local fish/coral expert. Thanks Foster and Smith!
This light puts out alot more light then I thought it would. Due to fedex's sloppy shipping habbits, my unit came with a broken bulb but Drs. Foster and Smith's customer service took care of it and is shipping me out a new bulb with no additional cost. Due to that I am only using the front 2 bulbs which is the 130 watts out of the 260 for the 48" which makes my 75 gallon marine tank look amazing. I can't wait to get my replacement bulb .. I highly recommend this fixture to everyone!
