Installation Instructions:
Submerge the heater in the aquarium at least up to the connection with the electrical cord.
Affix the heater, using the supplied suction cups, to the side of the aquarium or position it on the bottom. You can also cover it completely with gravel. Mini Heater can operate in any position.
After positioning the heater, plug it in (remembering to keep your hands out of the aquarium).
During the summer season or if the room temperature reaches or exceeds 76°F, unplug the heater.
Please note:
If the heater should operate in a partially dry or completely dry situation, it will not sustain any damage, but the heating element might reach a temperature as high as 176°F. Check that the heater never works dry, and be careful that it is not in contact with any materials that can be damaged by the temperature in case it operates dry. Be certain that the heater is not in direct contact with the following: Bottom of the tank, water plants, decorations, or other objects that might be damaged by the temperature.

I just got one of these heaters and my betta is a lot happier now. I have never seen one that is this small and can work no matter if it's under gravel or hanging from the side. I really like this heater.
Every one who has a betta should have one of these! Too often normal household temperatures are not warm enough for bettas. Especially at night or when people are at work they tend to turn household temps down. I have two of these heaters and my bettas have never been happier! They are much more active, eat a lot more, and never get sick. I love that it is a flat rubber 'mat' that I can put under the substrate rather than a long glass heater that is nearly impossible to hide. I couldn't have been more pleased with this heater!
We winter tropical water lilies that don't form tubers and ones that bloom well for us, inside but were about to give up on doing so due to high energy cost. We could no longer afford the luxury of keeping the room temperature warm enough for them. Before doing so however, we tried inserting 7.5 watt mini heaters into the soil, near but not in direct contact with tubers and it worked like a charm. One heater raises soil temperature of a 6" wide and deep pot about 10 degrees F. which is enough to keep the lilies happy with room temperatures in the mid 60 degree F. range and two or three placed about three inches away from the tubers seem to do the job for larger pots.
An article about the fairly extensive test we ran can be accessed on the Water Gardens International Web Site. Both the heaters you sell and ones from a discount department store were tested and there was no comparison. Many of the others failed or got too hot but all of yours worked well.
These are great little heaters. I have one in each of my brine shimp hatcheries. The ambient room temerature in my place is such that it would take over three days for the brine shrimp to start hatching. After adding these heaters, I notice the hatchings start in as little as twelve hours, with the majority hatching in twenty four. I recommend these to any dwarf seahorse keeper that is constantly hatching brine shrimp.
A sharp drop in water temperature is extremely stressful to fish and can compromise their immune system. Improperly sized heaters may not be able to maintain their set temperature and cause aquarium temperature to fluctuate several degrees per day.
Temperature can be the single most important component in the life of your fish. Fish, in the wild and in our aquariums, are very sensitive to changes in temperature. Learn the affects of water temperature on fish health.
Studies conducted in recent years confirm what most of us know: a comfortable, stimulating, and pleasing working environment can significantly improve employee productivity, creativity, and overall job satisfaction. Adding an aquarium can help.
Smaller aquariums in the range of 10-20 gallons are the ideal size for the serious beginner. When stocking your small aquarium, think scale: a community of tiny, active, and colorful tropical fish can make even the smallest setup appear grand.
