Introduction to T-5 Fluorescent Lighting
Unbelievable brilliance, tiny size - the most advanced fluorescent lighting available.
Economical aquarium lighting takes an exciting step forward with the introduction of the latest in fluorescent lighting technology. The T-5 HO (high output) lamp is only 5/8" in diameter. These thin tubes produce almost twice the light output of standard fluorescent tubes. In addition to their brightness, you can fit more of these slim tubes into the same amount of space. This means more light in less space. T-5 tubes are an economical, high light output option for both fresh and saltwater applications.

First time adding my two cents, but felt I had to. You have to see what these lights do to your tank. It brought out the colors in my fish and made the plants look like it was a picture. Trust me. Buy them. They are worth the money.
Intresting bulb to add to my t-5 fixture. Im using 2 of these with other actinic bulbs. It seems to be somwhat dim on the brightness side, not a cool or bright white at all. I can sort of see a pinkish hue to it and hopefully it will help perk up my plants that have been fed all the wrong lighting. This bulb is typical of what I know of "grow" or "grolux" specialty bulbs. Haven't had it running long enough to see results, I suspect its output is ideal for vegitative plants.
