These glass canopies reduce evaporation and prevent fish from jumping out of the aquarium. Perfect for tropical or saltwater setups, each Versa-Top has a Super-flex hinge that simplifies mealtime by remaining open without any propping or holding. Glass canopies are essential aquarium equipment that provide a protective layer between your aquarium and light fixture. Includes a clear vinyl back strip to add approximately 2" to the total width of the Versa-Top glass canopies. Helps create a tight seal but openings can be easily cut out to accommodate heaters, filters, and other vital aquarium equipment and accessories. Glass canopies are the best choice for limiting evaporation and keeping jumping fish in the aquarium. They are economically priced, available in a variety of sizes, and can be used by themselves just as a top or with a strip light placed on top. Glass canopies are versatile and allow the most flexibility in lighting types and configuration.
When choosing the right canopy, the type of livestock that you are going to keep in the aquarium will also need to be taken into consideration prior to purchasing a canopy. If you are not sure or are thinking that you may switch the type of species you are going to keep in the future, a glass canopy is the best choice due to its versatility.

I ordered 2 24" for my 55 gal reef tank and I could not be happier. The acrylic back plate made it a snap to customize for my filters. These are great tops for a great price and shipping was awesome. I placed my order Friday and my package was here Monday! You can't beat Drs. Foster and Smith for anything quality or price.
I have an older 75 Gal. The tops were a little short to fit so I used some automotive edge trim on the glass top. Fits perfectly and works great. I love my new glass tops. Keeps everything inside, where it should be!
I had a hard time finding tops for my 125 gallon tank until I checked out the Docs! Within days I had my Versa-Tops at my door at the most reasonable price. I wish I would have found Doctors Foster and Smith sooner.
Aquarium stands are an integral part of the aquarium system. The canopy serves many purposes other than just covering the aquarium. It is designed to cut down on evaporation and keep aquatic life from escaping the aquarium.
Successful aquariums depend greatly on research and preparation. Before you install your new aquarium, consider aquarium placement and size to avoid laborious and costly mistakes.
When planning your next aquarium, consider staying "true to nature" by building and stocking a miniature ecosystem of common structure, inhabitants, and plants that exist together in the wild.
