This is the first filter I have found that doesn't have too strong of a flow for a 5-gallon betta tank. I have had mine working for a year and a half without any problems. It is very quiet and I love the price! |

This little filter is great! I use one Azoo Palm Filter for my betta and another one for my 3 gallon hospital tank. I leave out the carbon pad and use 2 white filter pads. It's easy to clean plus you can turn the flow down for more delicate fish. I highly recommend this filter. |

I had been hoping they would come out with a filter for small tanks for quite a few years. When I saw the Palm Filter for the first time, I was overjoyed. I bought it and put it on my 2.5 gallon planted tank, which had always needed some filtration. It keeps the water clear and it sure beats doing 50% water changes every week. It is extremely quiet and is at an affordable price! |

Awesome little filter. I was skeptical about buying such a... I don't really want to even say the word 'cheap' when talking about this filter, because the only thing 'cheap' about it was it's price. It's virtually silent unless the intake tube sucks up an air bubble, but that's it. On the weakest setting, it has the pull to suck a Betta's fins into the pipe, but not in a violent manner. A Betta can simply swim his fins out, there's no struggle whatsoever for him. I've got a little Petco 2 gallon hex tank for my Betta, and I carefully cut a perfectly fit area out of the rear of the cover to integrate this filter into it, and I couldn't be happier with it. I integrated a water chute into the lid while I was installing it, so the water doesn't pour down straight, but it's dispersed all over half of the water surface area. very little water disturbance besides the current generated by the intake tube. My Betta loves it in there, he can blow nests almost anywhere because of the water chute, and his water remains crystal clear. I plan on setting up a duplicate tank to house a friend of his in, and this little filter is the only thing I'll consider for it. |

I love this filter. The filter works just like the big canister filters. It's great for hospital tanks and you can adjust the flow of water on top. I bought two of these and just put a small bio sponge in the front of the water flow to the tank. Every tiny tank should have one of these. It's also very quiet. |

I went back and forth whether to buy this little filter. It was between this one and the Red Sea nano filter that Petco sells. I took the plunge and ordered two of these. After setting the first one up in my 2.5 gallon planted betta tank, I was sure I hit a winner. I am very pleased with this filter. Easy to set up and it's very quiet. The flowrate can be adjusted, too. It comes with a pad and trap for bacteria, but I threw in some ceramic pieces for more bacteria growth. I have plans for the other one, a mini reef saltwater tank, but that will be at a later date. Shipping was way fast! I ordered on Tuesday morning and received the filters on Wednesday afternoon. Definitely a good buy and will buy more in the future. |

I agree with the other reviewers. This is a fine little filter for small tanks. I like that you can devise your own scheme of filtration in the "reservoir" part of the filter. I have foam, poly, and bio-media in mine. I think that you could use it on 5-6 gallon tanks with no trouble--it really seems to move the water. |

I develop, sell, and assist in the upkeep of 'tiny tanks' of 2 1/2 gallons or less, for people who don't have the time or inclination to set them up themselves. Each tank, which is fully planted and stocked upon delivery to the client's desktop or bookshelf, I consider to be unique and a work of art. I credit the Azoo Palm Filters in helping to make this possible. They're small, inexpensive, adjustable, EXTREMELY reliable, and almost no maintenance, other than rinsing and/or swapping out the foam filter blocks every so often. To date, all my clients (many who have never 'kept' a tank before) are very pleased, as this is 'something' they're able to accomplish themselves with minimal training. Thank you, doctors, for helping my artistic visions come to fruition so successfully! |

My Betta no longer has to live in "stagnant" water. His whole attitude has changed! The circulation provided by this filter seems to give him a reason to swim and all that exertion has increased his appetite. |

Simply the coolest filter I have. It sits on my 5.5 Betta tank and is perfect, and for the price, awesome. My Betta is happy and the tank looks great. Definitely a must have if you have a small Betta tank |
